After having the prayer service at Cosmopolitan, we went directly to Tibungco in haste because Mommy Dadz was waiting for us (Dannie, Fern and Me). We arrived there after 45min or so and we saw Mommy Dadz and her sister waiting on the other side of the highway. We shouted "mommy dadz!" and she smiled then laughed sabay sabing "SING!". I don't know where and as to when this expression started, that I have to confirm to Fern pa. Haha. Pumunta kami ng Tibungco due to Mommy Dadz request na haharanahin namin ang kapatid niya who will be celebrating his 70th birthday kinabukasan, July 25, 2010.
We settled and rested for a while sa bahay ng kapatid ni Mommy Dads. They served us food and drinks, they were very hospitable and kind to us. They laugh at our jokes and kami lang ata ang gising nong time na yun. After eating we sat down and discussed what songs we are going to sing. I volunteered to read the Introductory part of the Liturgy/Para-liturgy, and then suggested some songs to sing for the "HARANA". Walang makikitang pagod sa mga mukha ng mga tao sa loob ng bahay, I do not know if they were just very excited for tomorrows' Harana or talagang di lang talaga sila pagod kahit maraming ginawa sa buong araw. Basta ako excited ako! Haha. First time ko kayang mangharana! We have already the songs listed in a sheet of paper, then we started to sing the songs according to its order. Napuputol lang bigla ang practice pag sumisigaw si Fern ng "SING!" in the middle of the song. Talaga nga namang nakakatawa dahil narin sa reaction ni Mommy Dads.
Si Dannie naman, pagod at inaantok pero dahil sa mga bunganga namin di siya makatulog tapos dinagdagan pa ng alarm clock na sobrang lakas dahil sa tahimik na ang paligid. Nag aalarm ba naman every hour? Haha! It was already 3:00am ng tumunog ulit ang alarm clock, "Mag 3 o'clock prayer muna tayo" sabi ni Mommy Dadz. We are devotees of the Divine Mercy kaya kami nag ti-three o'clock prayer. Apart from being a member and devotee of the DIVINE MERCY dinadasal talaga dapat ang 3o'clock prayer for all Catholics. It is very sad to know na MARAMI PARIN ANG HINDI NAKAKAALAM NG 3O'CLOCK PRAYER. "Can we do the chanting instead of just reciting the chaplet of Mercy?" sabi ko. And all of them agreed.
Before we started to pray the 3o'clock prayer and chant the chaplet of Mercy, we first gave our general and personal intentions. It took, I think almost an hour for us to finish the entire prayer. Marami kasi kaming mga intentions, not only for ourselves but for others too. We haven't noticed the time, 4:30am na pala. "Dannie maligo kana at ako na ang sususod" sabi ko. Pagkatapos naming maligo lahat, nagmamadali na kaming umalis kasi alas singko (5:00am) na kaya! When the sun rises, parang wala na ang essence ng Harana. Haha. Dumating kami sa bahay ni Kuya William, anak ni Tito Tiago.
Sa bahay kasi ng anak niya isi-celebrate ang birthday niya. We started to sing the first song, THE BIRTHDAY SONG of course! Medyo matagal kaming pinagbuksan, mga halos kalahating oras yata yun. Lahat ng dumadaan na kapitbahay nila tumitingin sa amin, pero pinagpatuloy parin namin ang pag kanta. Hay! Sa wakas! Pinagbuksan din kami ng dawalang babae, pinapasok kami habang patuloy kaming kumakanta.
I read the introductory part of the Liturgy after singing all the songs, and then Mommy Dadz for the next part of the Liturgy, then Dannie for the Gospel reading. Fern was tasked to play the guitar. Of course ako sa vocals and Fern too. Haha. We offered prayers and wishes to Tito Tiago. After the prayer and the Liturgy they served us food again, wooh kainan na naman! Alas 7:00 na ng umaga.
"S. Estela, ito si Carlo yong friend mo sa facebook", sabi ni Mommy Dadz. S. Estela is an RVM sister (Religious of the Virgin Mary). Marami akong kilalang RVM sisters and I also have an RVM best friend. "Ah ikaw pala si Carlo, kaya pala familiar yong mukha mo", sabi ni S. Estela sabay tawa. Dannie and Fern went to the room and sleep habang ako, nakikipag usap and nakikipag kwentuhan kay S. Estela. We shared stories of our lives, ni di nga ako nakaramdam ng antok kasi sobrang saya namin. Halos tawa lang kami ng tawa.
Lunch time na, all were gathered para kumain. The prayer was lead by a pastor, kaibigan at kapitbahay ni Kuya William. Pagkatapos dasalan ang pagkain, masaya kaming nag kakantahan ng Happy Birthday song para kay Tito Tiago. Nakikita kong napakasaya niya, mabait siya and he is also a humble servant of God nong hindi pa siya na stroke. He used to be a lay minister in a GKK or BEC. Mabait din ang asawa niya sa amin, lahat sila very accommodating. Di nga bisita ang turing nila sa amin kundi parang kapamilya na rin.
Pagkatapos ng kainan, may kantahan na naman. And take note, hindi siya basta-basta kantahan lang coz it's a live band, hindi videoke. Talagang napaksaya ng araw na yun. May inuman din, siyempre di naman talaga nawawala sa mga party ang inuman. Si Dannie nga nalasing, si Fern naman di umiinom, ako konti lang, si Mommy Dadz namumula na ang pisngi, lasing na ata eh. Haha.
Alas 5:00 na ng hapon, I asked Dannie kung mag sisimba ba siya kasi lasing na siya at parang di naman ata bagay pumasok sa simbahan ng lasing. Pero sabi niya "Gusto ko talagang magsimba, cge na tara na!". Wala kaming nagawa ni Fern kundi isama siya. Haha.. "Sister, tara simba tayo", sambit ko. "May mass ba dito Carl?" tanong ni sister. "Yes sister meron, sa Simbahan diyan sa unahan", sagot ko naman. Sabay-sabay kaming pumunta sa simbahan. Ako, si Fernan and Dannie, si S. Estela and pinsan niyang si Ate Arlene.
After the mass bumalik kami sa bahay para kumanin ng dinner. Parang doon na ata kami nag breakfast, lunch and dinner eh. Haha.. Kapal namin noh? Haha. Halos lasing na lahat ng tao pag balik naman galing ng simbahan. After the dinner, umupo kami sa sala and we watched TV, pero useless din kasi di namin marinig yong TV dahil sa lakas ng tugtog ng banda. Haha. Para kaming kumakain ng matabang na ice cream. Haha. Past 8:00pm na, I asked S. Estela, "Uuwi na tayo sister?". Sinabi ko kasi sa kanya na ihahatid ko siya sa Provincial House kasi gabi na nga. "Sige Carl uuwi na tayo", sagot niya. I woke up Dannie kasi tulog na tulog after naming mag simba eh, si Fern naman is ready na, si Mommy Dadz nag hihintay lang na may magsabing uuwi na.
Nasa kanto na kami lahat, nag -aantay ng jeep. Si Danni, Mommy Dadz and anak niyang si Rose will not come with us kasi ibang route ang sasakyan nila. So naiwan silang tatlo kasi nauna na kaming sumakay ng jeep, kami nila Fern, S. Estela, ako and Ate Arlene. Sa R. Castillo kami dumaan while sila Dannie and Mommy Dadz is papuntang Buhangin. Unang bumaba si Ate Arlene tapos si Fern. Kami ni S. Estela ang huli. We arrived at the PH at around 9:30 in the evening.
Nasa labas si Kuya Angel and yong Driver ng St. Marys Tagum. Kuya Angel is the secretary of S. Dalen, stay in siya sa Provincial House kaya siya ang nagbubukas at nagsasara ng gate. Inantay ko pang pumasok si S. Estela bago ako umuwi. Pagkatapos niyang pumasok, nagkekwentuhan muna kami nila Kuya Angel and yong driver ng SMC. Balak nilang mag inuman and they invited me, I refused to go with them kasi nakakaramdam narin ako ng pagod so I went home.
